Well, everyone has general access to post now, at least, but Ivan and Siirine haven't access to this sub-forum, since we don't know if they're interested yet.

Ivan / Kassandros contacted me through PMs with quite a few inquiries, is working on his character, made contact in game, etc.

I think he's interested.  Up to you!

I had a very interesting conversation with Monczeli over Skype, a couple of days ago.  We started talking about Assembly, of maybe bringing it back if there was people interested...

I told him a bit about the change of direction we're aiming for, from RP to line of business, etc.  He had similar views, it almost felt like if he had already read our discussion :)  He would definitly understand what we're aiming for and it happens to fit with the direction we're wishing to take.

He already brought changes to his character that fit like a glove to what we were saying about our characters being less goody-two-shoes.  And he sounded very interested in the changes we're looking at.

That being said...

It would probably help people if they would have at least a glimpse at what we would like to do.  If it's something they wish to be part of, they'll manifest themselves.

So...  Are we willing / ready to lift a corner of the veil?

not just yes..but hell yes!!!  But...I am quite certain I am not the one that needs to answer that question.

What is it you want to make public, then? We agree that there would be a lighter structure and execution of things, and we agree the clan would be more, shall we say, active, rather than a theoretic haven. But that's really all that is agreed. If you feel this is enough to make people decide whether they want to help pull the carriage, then that's fine and we can say as much. As long as we don't say things we haven't agreed on.

I'd rather not be the one making that post :)  I feel it's yours to choose what you want to make known or not.

My reason for wondering about this is simple: people could be interested if they can have a hint of what we're up to, what we're open to consider, what we wish and aim for.

I'm thinking of those who would have liked to make a character style but couldn't because it wasn't fitting with the stance and line of work we had, for example. Knowing that we're looking at the possibility to broaden that could interest them, as well as a more inclusive RP style :)

And as you said, I think it's also important that they know that what we're currently looking for is a core to help rebuild, with what it entails; we're not a full-fledged org with everything set and all, at the moment...  I think it's fair to let them know that.  If they want to push the carriage, good!  If they're just expecting to sit on it after it got rolling, well then we'll know, at least.

I'm RP starving, that's undeniable...

"Will RP for food."  Is that sig material already? :D

So as far as Jay (Vari) goes....I can now say with a great degree of certainty that he will not be involved in Assembly for about a year.  RL strikes again, but unfortunately, I would be out of line if I discussed it with you all.  It really should come from Jay.  The only reason I mention it is out of fairness for all involved to at least know the scant bit of info I just gave.

So I just talked to Jay today.  He gave me permission to let you all know what is going on.  As I type this, he is in Virginia on a Navy base getting processed in for his reserve duty.  He will get some sort of training at a couple of bases, and in July will leave for Iraq for what we hope will only be the remainder of a year.

He mentioned that he never got the email you are supposed to get when you register for the forum.  Of course, I guess this doesn't matter now.  Anyway, all of us being friends, I felt you all deserved to know what is going on with one of our own.

I manually confirmed his registration, and he should be able to log in with his username and password.

That stinks. A friend of mine was in Taji Iraq for a year. It sucked not having him around. It went well though, he didn't see combat or at least he isn't telling any one if he did.  In ether case hopefully he'll have access to the intertubes so we can keep in touch.

Say thanks to Jay for giving you the green light to let us know, and thanks to you for doing so.

I hope his assignement isn't gonna be one of the most hazardous ones, but I know it won't be that way, will it.

Shit.  Tell him that -- Nevermind, I'll tell him myself :)

Thanks for the heads up :)
