Away for...

In the last 2 days, a severe ice storm has hit the area Kotts lives in.  Power lines and phone lines (hence, the intarwebz) were smashed and emergency measures enacted.  I'm without news since yesterday and it could be a little while before he can get a message through to me.

yeah...Midwest is getting hammered lately.  So if phone lines and power lines are down..how'd you find out?  Didja develop a psychic link with him?  *grins*

Well, aside from that soul link... He accessed the internet at his work   Him and his folks & friends are fine, thanks goodness.  But the ETA on electricity and telephone, depending on the area, is about 2 to 4 weeks.

Who knows how he's gonna use that absence ICly...  Aircraft shopping, maybe?

I will be leaving today around 18:00 GMT for my parents' place.  My son's been nagging me for the last 6 weeks, pointing me the access ramp of the highway each time we drive by it...  "This way!  Wanna see Papi!"
