I apologize for my lack of appearance here..truth is I knew that, for me, when the announcement was made by Jen, that this day would come. I wanted to say dreaded, but thats just me. Goodbyes have never been good to me. For my time with Assembly I loved it. I learned, loved, and stumbled through Rubi ka life with Assembly. I had many good times with Assembly. Thank you for having Vari, and myself. Thank you for putting up with Vari's block headedness and sometimes mine. I would love to say /tell me anytime on Ka but truth be told I will not be there. So...Vari goes down in a hail of lead and fire, her yuttos guardian delivers her unto the medusa queen and she is repaired/reincarnated as a successor for what purpose is anyone's guess.

I was a fan of Robert Howard sagas before AOC was concieved, now thats it out, it has captured my attention and game time. Varija has been reincarnated on Wiccana, which is where I shall make my new online home with my main character named Arjuna. If i have given you my direct email feel free to email me. Or if by chance you enter AOC on Wiccana send me a tell there.

Jen thank you for having me, I learned a great deal from you directly. Maybe someday I will find myself on your shores... When I do I want a ride on that longship we found for you years ago..

Pssh...the two best preserved Viking longships were discovered by farmers and excavated by Norwegian and Swedish archaeologists .

Or is there another type of longship? I've actually not been to the viking ship museum here, and I've lived in Oslo for 7 years. I feel ashamed .

Norse [Viking is a bit... anyway] boats can compete, on a straight line, with modern boats sail boats. They only get beaten in turns, because of the square sail. On a straight line, they win. Aerodynamics of planks made of a single piece of wood and layered, creating small bubbles of air under each plank when sailing, acting basically like bearings... And the shape itself, with minimal friction and high stability... and much more.

Oh yes. They knew how it's done. One of these days, I'll see this for myself. They could have conquered the world and decided to blend in, instead... And they were being called savages?... hah!
