Economy overview: The Miralen economy is a prosperous bastion of welfare capitalism, featuring a combination of free market activity and government intervention. The government controls key areas, such as the vital ore sectors. The planet is richly endowed with natural resources - natural gas, hydropower, fish, forests, and minerals. With arguably one of the highest quality of life in its galaxy, Miralen is a successful world, despite its small size and unnoticeable presence.

A small planet in an insignificant system, Miralen is far from the bustle of the galactic trade routes. The planet itself is divided into several sectors, 25 in total, of which 10 (Jemm, Gainor, Resla, Aloc, Fin, Rone, Semper, Kode, Soc and Hudel) are terraformed and inhabited. The largest of these sectors is Jemm, which also works as a seat of government.

The population of Miralen consists mostly of solitus scientists, merchants, farmers and high society. There is virtually no poverty, and the governing should be considered very successful. No civil rebellion has been registered the last 500 years. No corporation has taken interest in this small planet yet, despite the natural resources. The sector government has allowed for exportation of technology and most scientists have held a doctorate in either of the three largest corporations, Omni-Tek, SOL Banking and TruSpace. The export ensures the high planetary income, which is equally divided between the ten active sectors.
